Energy reduction has been a talking point for many years now due to the rising cost of fuel. It was not until the Kyotto Summit agreement of 1997 that the public interest focussed on the impact of poor Energy Efficiency and Carbon Dioxide emissions, a Bi-product caused from using fossil fuels for energy.

By reducing the amount of energy we use to heat our homes and power electrical equipment we are actively reducing our carbon emissions.
More of an immediate benefit of reducing the amount of energy we use is the amount of money that will be saved.

Perhaps you require an EPC certificate for your Home Information Pack, or are you interested in an Energy Audit. Enspect Ltd. can conduct a home visit and inform you of what are the best and most suitable Energy Saving products for your property and circumstances.

Additionally, many people are not aware of the amount of Energy Saving Grants that are available to assist with the purchasing of Energy Saving products.

Enspect Ltd. will advise on all grants available and complete the applications on your behalf with little or no fuss.

Enspect Ltd. aim to provide you with all the information and products you require in order to make your home more Energy Efficient.

ENERGY SAVING TIPS
  • Reducing your room temperature on the Thermostat by 1°C could cut your heating bills by up to 10 percent. You could save around £40 per year.
  • Your cylinder thermostat shouldn't need to be set higher than 60°C/140°F.
  • Close your curtains at dusk to stop heat escaping through the windows.
  • Always turn off the lights when you leave a room.
  • Don't leave appliances on standby and remember not to leave appliances on charge unnecessarily.
  • If you're not filling up the washing machine, tumble dryer or dishwasher, use the half-load or economy programmed.
  • Only boil as much water as you need (but remember to cover the elements if you're using an electric kettle).
  • A dripping hot water tap wastes energy and in one week wastes enough hot water to fill half a bath.
  • Use energy saving light bulbs. Just one can save you £100 over the lifetime of the bulb
