Part L1A of the building regulations in England and Wales changed on the 06 April 2006.
The changes brought into effect:

• New energy performance requirements
• Amendments of Regulations:
  - the Building Regulations 2000
  - the Building (Approved Inspectors etc.) Regulations 2000

The only way of showing compliance to Part L1A is through a calculation of the whole dwelling’s energy performance known as a SAP calculation.

SAP Initial Design Certificate Calculation £100 +VAT including reasonable variations.

SAP Final Completion Certificate £45 + VAT including reasonable variations for compliance.

Part L1B of the building regulations in England and Wales also changed on the 06 April 2006.  Part L1B covers the Conservation of Fuel and Power in Existing dwellings.

SAP Conversion Calculations for Dwellings £150 + VAT

SAP Extension Calculations to existing Dwellings £250 + VAT
